Building Performance

Every building requires some interventions during its lifecycle
to maintain – and improve – energy performance.

Your Partner

When our B3 Benchmarking pinpoints low-performing buildings or our energy modeling resolves complex energy issues into actionable choices, we have the comprehensive continuum of engineering analysis and investigative services to help make your buildings better. How much we do is entirely up to you.

Continuum of Services

Only The Weidt Group® offers a comprehensive continuum of services to optimize existing building performance. Our team has extensive hands-on experience in every aspect from analysis to design and beyond.

Services

  • Benchmarking

Benchmarking is the foundation of all energy improvements. Understanding how well your building is performing against real, relevant baselines enables you to better plan and prioritize maintenance and energy performance improvements. Our B3 Benchmarking tool makes it easy to go beyond simple tracking.

  • Retro-commissioning

Retro-commissioning ensures that an existing building’s systems are installed, maintained, and controlled to operate properly and efficiently over a wide range of temperature and occupancy conditions. We identify the best, most cost-effective opportunities for improving building energy performance.

  • Energy Master Planning

We create a flexible, realistic framework to guide future decisions about maintaining and expanding infrastructure and controlling energy demand. Additionally, Greenhouse Gas Inventories and Climate Action Plans will guide the development, enhancement, and implementation of specific actions to aggressively cut emissions for your organization.

  • Energy Audits

We identify potential energy conservation measures including lighting, water use, heating and cooling, workflow and process efficiencies, and building shell improvements to help you get the most out of your energy usage.

  • Ongoing Performance

After a building is occupied, we compare actual metered performance to expected performance and recommend performance enhancement options in order to maintain peak energy-efficient operations over time.

“SUNY New Paltz has now undertaken an Energy Master Plan with the help of The Weidt Group. For years we relied on their highly skilled and dedicated staff for our Greenhouse Gas Report and our Campus Sustainability Plan and are pleased
we did.”
